How do I get technical support from ITSS?

The IT Helpdesk is your complete resource for your IT questions and issues. If you do not have your question answered by this website, email helpdesk@vaniercollege.qc.ca or call local 7529. Full technical and support staff are on campus during the weekday regular College hours in both the main buildings, H building, and N building. During Continuing Education hours on the evenings and weekends, support staff are available in D-301 and can provide classroom support.

How do I book a Viewing Room, Versatile Room, or Active Learning Room?

The different kinds of viewing rooms as described on the Viewings Room page are typically available for booking. In addition, the Classroom Performance System (CPS) with “clickers” described are available for booking in the IT Centre.

Bookings are done through the Scheduling Department during regular class sessions by contacting them at scheduling@vaniercollege.qc.ca.

Continuing Education is responsible for bookings during evening, weekend, and summer school classes.

How do I report a technical issue in my classroom or office?

If the situation is not urgent (i.e.: not preventing your class from proceeding or not causing a stoppage of your workflow), submit an Octopus request, and your issue will be assigned to a technician to be solved as soon as possible. If the situation involving your office is urgent, call the Helpdesk at local 7529. If the urgent situation involves your classroom/viewing room, contact support services using the phone numbers posted in the classroom/viewing room to contact the appropriate technician. During Continuing Education hours on the evenings and weekends, support staff are available in D-301 and can provide classroom support.

What pedagogical tools are available for me to use?
